AI Strategy Sprint — 5-day executive workshop

Walk away with an AI roadmap, build-vs-buy decisions, and a 90-day execution plan.

Get a scoping call

Most AI strategies stall at the PowerPoint stage because they're built by consultants who don't write code. Our AI Strategy Sprint is led by senior engineers who have shipped production AI products — and who will tell you what is actually buildable in your timeline, not what sounds impressive on a slide.

What's included

AI readiness assessment
Audit of your data, infrastructure, team skills, and existing tooling against what your target use cases actually require.
Use case prioritization
ROI-weighted ranking of AI opportunities in your product and operations — with honest effort estimates attached.
Build vs buy analysis
Objective comparison of custom builds, fine-tuned models, SaaS AI tools, and hybrid approaches for each use case.
90-day roadmap
A sprint-by-sprint execution plan with owner assignments, dependencies, and success metrics — not a Gantt chart.

How we work

Discovery
Interview key stakeholders, audit current tech stack, and map your data landscape and team capabilities.
Day 2–3
Analysis & synthesis
Use case analysis, competitive scan, build-vs-buy analysis, and effort/ROI scoring on each opportunity.
Day 4
Roadmap workshop
Live session with your exec team to validate priorities, make build-vs-buy decisions, and sequence the roadmap.
Day 5
Deliverables
Final roadmap doc, executive summary, vendor shortlist, and a briefing deck ready for board or investor conversations.

Best practices for AI Strategy Sprint

  • Get engineering in the room, not just leadership

A roadmap built without effort estimates from engineers who will actually build it is fiction. Technical realism has to come from the builders.

  • Make build-vs-buy explicit for every use case

The default 'just build it' answer is expensive. The default 'buy a SaaS' answer creates lock-in. Both need deliberate justification.

  • Prioritize one high-confidence win over three uncertain bets

An early demonstrable result buys the organizational trust needed to pursue harder, more valuable problems.

  • Assign a named owner to every 90-day plan item

Unowned roadmap items slip indefinitely. If no one owns it on the day the plan is written, it won't ship.

The best strategy is the one your engineering team can actually execute. We've worked on both sides of that divide — and we close it.

FAQ

Who runs the sprint?
A principal engineer and a senior product strategist who have both shipped production AI products. No junior consultants fronted by senior names on the proposal.
Can this be done remotely?
Yes. We run it over Zoom with async pre-work. On-site is available in major US, UK, and UAE cities.
What if we already have a roadmap?
We review and stress-test it. Clients often find their roadmap lacks effort realism or misses a higher-ROI opportunity. We'd rather tell you that in week 1 than week 24.
